LibraryBox & Kickstarter

It's been a wild and crazy 5 months or so for LibraryBox. When I decided to pursue a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to enable the development of the v2.0 of the software, I had no idea at all what would come from that seemingly simple decision. 1000% funded, suddenly having to deal with a very, very different process and product than I had originally planned for, and being suddenly responsible for 471 backers is a huge responsibility...well, let's just say a lot of things changed really fast. Suddenly I needed to be a company and not just a lone developer, and Evenly Distributed LLC was born. Then I needed to totally re-think my production plans to accommodate the hundreds of Boxen that I would have to build. Not to mention packing, shipping, and all the logistics of just getting 200 MR3020's delivered to my house...it's been fun, but far stranger than I expected back in June when launching the Kickstarter.
This store is a direct result of all the work that went into the Kickstarter fulfillment. The one thing that I kept being asked was "We missed the Kickstarter, when can we buy one?". Well, the answer to that is very, very soon. I have to get all of the rewards out to the Kickstarter backers first. I don't think anything else is really fair, as they were the ones that took a chance and backed me when I really needed it. But as soon as I get those done, I'll be opening up for business here...maybe even just a bit before I get them done, as I think I'll have a handful of hardware that won't get claimed that I'll be able to pass along to someone here that might really want one.
So: watch this space, follow @libraryboxen on Twitter, and I'll announce the on-sale dates for LibraryBox v2.0 very soon. Library
